useful tipsI would like to share my story with you in the hope that someone might read this & it helps. I had vaginaism:
I had botox injections twice, my muscles did not really relax, so botox did not work for me. The second time round that I had the injections, I must have had some sort of allergic reaction as I had pain in my vagina & had to go & see doctors, which of course didn't help as they wanted to inspect & I was able for them to insert a finger or have a ultra sound. They had never heard of a patient having botox so that did not make me feel great. Thankfully the pain eased as the botox wore off.
Then I had a breakthrough, I went for counselling, I talked a lot about my past, but I wanted to more than to talk I needed to have support with physical steps of inserting dialators. I was very fortunate to be refered to a hospital that deals with vaginismus & had counselled many women. I would like to share the treatment I underwent in the hope it encourages you to seek good support.
We had to take a week off work & I was given a week of appointments & my partner had to attend alongside me. we each had to explain our goal & we talked about the hurt & pain we felt. The next day we went into this room, I started to insert the very smallest dialator with alot of lubricant. Lubricant is very important, (dunk the tube in hot water for few seconds to make it runny)I used to think that I did not like the feel of lubricant, but after encouragement from the doctor I squirted loads on & inserted the smallest dialator. The thing that helped me the most mentally is that the doctor asked me to insert the dialator again, that confirmed to me that I wasn't just lucky. I was successful with the next size up dialator. Then we were told - oh running out of space will continue
